The reason said why they "buried" him in the sea was because "it would be hard to find a country that wanted to recieve his body" and the U.S. "wanted to follow Islamic traditions"

Summary: We have now, after ten years of searching finally found the awful terrorist behind september 11th and we wanted to give him a funeral that followed traditions from his own country.
